These resins are designed for "toughness" and are available in a range of impact resistance suitable for applications such as furniture, floppy diskettes, toys, packaging, housewares, appliance parts, audio and video cassettes, dinnerware, refrigeration and vacuum-formed packaging.
Ignition-Resistant Resins (IRPS)
STYRON ignition-resistant polystyrene resins from The Dow Chemical Company (Dow) are high-impact resins. When compared to other general-purpose polystyrene resins, these resins have a high flow rate, high-impact resistance and good colorability making them an excellent choice for business and consumer electronics applications that require enhanced ignition resistance versus conventional polystyrene.
