Stretch Hoods

Stretch hood is one of the fastest growing pallet stabilization and packaging systems, a demanding application requiring good holding force and consistent elasticity for load stability, tear and puncture resistance, and the ability to perform over a wide temperature range (-40ºC till +50ºC). Not only that, the stretch hood must be easy to apply, without wrinkling, when packaging lines are running at high speeds.

Other features such as optics, transparency in some applications, printability and recyclability are also important features.

Stretch hood films are three-layer coextruded systems, in which new polymers such as VERSIFY™ Plastomers and Elastomers can be used in the core layer to provide the right balance of elasticity and performance properties required for this application.
