DOW Butene LLDPE Resins, produced via the solution process, are the lowest-cost option for less demanding films. They are characterized by excellent optics, processability and sealing performance.

Compared to gas-phase butene LLDPE resins, The Dow Chemical Company's (Dow) solution-phase butene LLDPE resins offer better bubble stability because of higher melt strength, better haze and better gloss. The resins also demonstrate good performance in heat seal and hot tack performance.

Applications include general-purpose packaging, industrial packaging, food & specialty packaging, stretch cling film and agricultural films.
