From rubber materials to specialized high-performance elastomers, Dow´s synthetic rubber portfolio gives manufacturers modification options that hold up to the pressure. Polybutadiene rubber (BR) is used in golf balls, footwear, conveyor belts and flooring for high elasticity and improved flexibility, tear and abrasion resistance. Different grades of cold polymerized emulsion styrene butadiene rubber (E-SBR) and solution styrene butadiene rubber (S-SBR) offer answers for tire producers balancing the performance properties of wear resistance, wet-grip and low rolling resistance.
