Dow Leads ‘Top 10 Plastics Suppliers’ in China

After a three-month online poll on the B2B plastics industry website, www.HC360.com (http://plas.HC360.com), in China, The Dow Chemical Company emerged as the champion among those companies voted the “Top 10 Plastics Suppliers in China” for 2007. This is the first time Dow received such recognition from online polling in China. An award ceremony was held at the “China Plastics Industry Development Summit” to commemorate the top 10 plastics suppliers. This event was organized by HC360.com and co-sponsored by the China Plastics Machinery Industry Association and the China Engineering Plastics Industry Association Paul Wu, Sales Director for Basic and Performance Plastics in Greater China, who represented Dow at the award ceremony said: “We are grateful for the strong support from our customers as well as other industry players who have voted for us. Also, we would like to thank the organizers of the event for inviting Dow to take part in this online poll.” Wu added: “Through this campaign, it has helped to further enhance Dow’s corporate branding and reputation in the China market, particularly for the Plastics portfolio of Dow.” Wu also went on to emphasize that “As a world-leading supplier of innovative plastics solutions, Dow is equipped with a strong global network of R&D expertise and is committed to meeting customer needs with application-specific solutions for a wide range of market segments.” Themed “Forging ahead through Innovation and Growth”, the top 10 plastics suppliers online poll aims to promote top brands in the industry and facilitate networking among fellow producers. The three-month online poll involved producers from market segments such as home appliances, automotive, building materials and toys. According to the organizers, they received over two million votes online, and more than 300,000 votes via cell phone.
